Outdoor ice rinks begin to open across Kitchener
The City of Kitchener is happy to announce that some outdoor neighbourhood ice rinks are now open, with more expected soon. Residents are invited to lace up their skates and enjoy the rinks while following current COVID-19 guidelines. Outdoor ice rinks are open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
Please follow on-site signage and do not go on the ice surface if a rink is closed for safety or maintenance. Going on the surface too soon can damage the work done by volunteers and result in delays to safe ice and access.
The City hosts over 30 rinks across Kitchener, with almost all locations dependent on community volunteers for support and maintenance. If you are interested in volunteering at one of our outdoor rinks, please apply online, email us or call 226-751-6403 for more information.
In addition to the neighbourhood ice rinks, there are also two new synthetic ice rinks located at 44 Gaukel Street and the Kitchener Market.
Remember to share the rink with others. For more details, visit www.Kitchener.ca/OutdoorRinks
