Mayor’s Advisory Council for Kitchener Seniors (MACKS) is seeking volunteers 55+ (1)

The City of Kitchener is seeking volunteers ages 55 and older to lend their unique voices and views to the Mayor’s Advisory Council for Kitchener Seniors (MACKS) starting this September. MACKS gives an older adult perspective on the impact of programs, services, strategies, and policies for older adults in the community, enabling them to live well and age well.

Community members provide input and feedback to the mayor and council, city staff and service providers, help identify community priorities, and help make connections for engagement and feedback around age-friendly initiatives in Kitchener.

MACKS committee volunteers must be:

  • a Kitchener resident
  • 55 years of age or older
  • available to attend a monthly meeting (from September to June)
  • able to contribute 6-8 hours per month to support sub-committee work
  • able to serve a three-year term

For more information, or to apply, interested community members are invited to visit www.kitchener.ca/MACKS. Application deadline is August 1, 2023.
