LoveMyHood Matching Grant now accepting applications (1)

Do you want to make a positive change in your neighbourhood? The LoveMyHood Matching Grant supports projects that bring neighbours together, build connections, and create new programs and spaces that make Kitchener a great community.

The City of Kitchener’s LoveMyHood Matching Grant provides one-time cash funding for new resident-led projects and neighbourhood initiatives, in varying amounts, depending on location and scope:

  • Up to $30,000 for projects on city land
  • Up to $10,000 for projects on private property
  • Up to $2,000 for events

Past projects include little libraries, community gardens, greening projects, neighbourhood pop-up markets, street parties, art murals, community programs and more!

There is still time to gather your neighbours and your ideas. The next grant intake dates are August 17 and November 16, 2023. The LoveMyHood Grant is awarded quarterly.

To discuss your project idea with a Neighbourhood Liaison, to apply online, or for more information about the LoveMyHood Matching Grant, visit www.lovemyhood.ca.

Land acknowledgement

The City of Kitchener is situated on the traditional territory of the Chonnonton, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee Peoples. We recognize our responsibility to act as stewards for the land and honour the original caretakers who came before us. Our community is enriched by the enduring knowledge and deep-rooted traditions of the diverse First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples who live in Kitchener today.
