Kitchener Fire hosts annual open house on Saturday, Sept. 23
Join us Saturday, Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. for the Kitchener Fire annual open house at Kitchener Fire headquarters, 270 Strasburg Rd.
Bring the whole family and test your fire hose handling skills, learn about fire safety, kitchen fire and high-angle rescue demonstrations, explore fire equipment displays, and so much more.
- Fire truck tours
- Kitchen fire demonstrations at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
- High angle rescue demonstration at noon and 2 p.m.
- Interactive firefighting activities and demonstrations including a virtual reality search and rescue experience
- Kitchener Fire Department equipment display including an antique fire truck
- Food trucks including Beaver Tails, Fo’ Cheesy, and Perogi Pigs
- Bouncy castles, a climbing wall, contests and more
The first-ever Kitchener Fire cookbook, including fire hall favourites, will be available for sale at the Grand River Hospital Foundations booth, with all proceeds going to the Kitchener Fire Department Everyday Heroes program.
Admission to the annual open house is free, but non-perishable donations will be accepted for Food4Kids Waterloo Region upon entry.
