Kitchener Fire Department: Major incident report – May 30, 2026
At 5:39 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, Kitchener Fire responded to a fire within a building on Lancaster Street West.
Upon arrival, crews observed a significant fire in one of the building units. Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire but remain on scene to monitor hot spots. Kitchener Fire's inspection team continues to assess the site for structural issues. Waterloo Regional Police Service has been engaged to help investigate the cause of the fire.
