Kitchener Fire Department: Major incident report - January 20, 2026
This morning, crews responded to a fire in a two storey, semi-detached home on Roberts Cres. Five trucks were on scene.
The fire was contained to a second-floor bedroom and did not extend into other parts of the house or the adjacent semi-detached unit.
There are no civilian or firefighter injuries and the fire is not being treated as suspicious. The two residents of the home will be displaced due to the fire and required restoration.
There are no structural damage concerns to the home and damage estimates are around $100,000.
The residents were alerted to the fire by the property’s smoke alarms. Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms save lives. Find more ways to keep your home safe on the City of Kitchener’s website.
