Kitchener Fire Department: Major incident report – February 22, 2026
Earlier this morning, Kitchener Fire (KFD) responded to a call for a residential structure fire at Elmsdale Drive. The fire originated in a bedroom on the upper floor of the home. Multiple fire crews were dispatched and arrived quickly on scene to bring the situation under control.
Three residents were transported to hospital for assessment. All have since been treated and released.
The home sustained fire and smoke damage on the upper floor. The fire is not being treated as suspicious. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
