Kitchener Fire Department: Major incident report – February 22, 2026
Earlier today, Kitchener Fire (KFD) responded to a fire at an automotive and tire shop located on McIntyre Drive in Kitchener. Multiple fire crews were dispatched and arrived on scene to find a fire within the commercial structure. Crews worked quickly to bring the fire under control.
There are no reported injuries to occupants or firefighters.
Primary searches have been completed by KFD crews. An investigation into the cause of the fire will begin once the building is deemed safe to enter.
The extent of the damage to the structure and its contents is not yet known. Damage estimates are not currently available.
