Kitchener Council approves four-year deal with two CUPE Unions
Kitchener City Council has approved a four-year deal between the City and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (Local 68 Civics and CUPE 68 Mechanics). The agreements run from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2025, and include wage adjustments as follows:
CUPE 68 Civics and 68 Mechanics
- Effective January 1, 2022 – 2.25%
- Effective January 1, 2023 – 2.25%
- Effective January 1, 2024 – 2.25%
- Effective January 1, 2025 – 1.00%
- Effective July 1, 2025 – 1.25%
The previous contracts expired on December 31, 2021.
