Kitchener Council approves four-year deal with CUPE 791
Kitchener City Council has approved a four-year deal between the City and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (Local 791). The agreement runs from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2025 and includes wage adjustments as follows:
- Effective April 1, 2021 – 1.70%
- Effective April 1, 2022 – 1.75%
- Effective April 1, 2023 – 1.85%
- Effective April 1, 2024 – 1.90%
CUPE 791 represents approximately 357 full-time office, clerical and technical staff who provide business functions including program and service delivery, bylaw enforcement, engineering services, building services, planning and development services.
The previous contract expired on March 31, 2021.
