Kitchener Council approves appointment to fill Ward 10 seat vacancy
Kitchener Council has approved an appointmentto fill the vacant seat in Ward 10.
Stephanie Stretch, Ward 10 runner-up in the 2022 Municipal Election, will be formally asked to accept the role by Kitchener’s Clerk through a written declaration of qualifications and consent.
The appointment will become official at an upcoming public meeting and the candidate will be sworn into office at the end of January 2024.
The Ward 10 seat became vacant after former City Councillor, Aislinn Clancy, was elected to Provincial Parliament in December 2023.
