Kitchener cancels snow event as of 5 p.m. on Dec. 24

The City of Kitchener is cancelling the current snow event effective 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 24, 2022.

Snow maintenance operators made good progress clearing roads throughout the night. Plows have focused on clearing emergency routes, GRT bus routes and major roads. Crews have started getting to residential streets and all winter maintenance efforts will continue throughout the day.

Residents are encouraged to keep parked vehicles off roads as much as possible so plows can complete snow clearing efforts. The tag & tow process is no longer in effect.
