KidsPark brings a day of adventure to Victoria Park
Get ready to climb, play and explore at KidsPark, returning to Kitchener this Sunday, August 16, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This free, family-friendly festival will transform Victoria Park into a land of adventure packed with live entertainment, hands-on activities, inflatables, games, crafts and interactive experiences for kids of all ages.
Families can spend the day exploring themed activity zones throughout the park, including Castle Kingdom, Mighty Machines, Sports Zone, Activity Alley, Dino Island and Pirate Cove, Enchanted Garden, McQueen Raceway and the KidsPark Market. Visitors can also enjoy train rides on the Heffner Express, meet favourite characters, take in live animal shows and discover activities hosted by more than 75 vendors and community groups.
Live entertainment will take place throughout the day on the Star Stage and Island Stage, featuring performances by Erick Traplin, a Paw Patrol live show, a Bruno Mars tribute, a sing-along with Moana, Maui, Elsa and Anna, Rumi’s K-pop dance party, pirate shows, dinosaur and animal shows, and a Dino Dance Party.
When it's time to refuel, families can enjoy a variety of local food trucks serving everything from pizza and bubble tea to sweet treats and picnic favourites.
KidsPark is designed to be welcoming and accessible for all visitors. Accessibility passes will be available for children who require extra support, and families can visit the KPL Calm Corner for a sensory-friendly space to rest and recharge.
The Food Bank of Waterloo Region will also be on-site accepting non-perishable food items or cash donations to help support our community.
KidsPark is easy to reach by transit, bicycle or car. There are many ION and GRT stops within walking distance of the festival grounds. Bike Check will be available with free, secure bike parking by the clocktower. Free vehicle parking is also available at many parking garages and surface lots on Sundays throughout downtown Kitchener.
