Join us for a neighbourhood garden party

This summer, enjoy colourful flower blooms and sweet scents as you stroll through a neighbourhood garden with a refreshing glass of lemonade in hand. The City of Kitchener’s Love My Hood Community Garden program and the Kitchener in Bloom garden recognition program are partnering with local community gardeners to host Neighbourhood Garden Parties in some of Kitchener’s most vibrant community gardens.

The Neighbourhood Garden Parties will celebrate local gardeners’ efforts, growing community connections and Kitchener’s garden programs. Guests will have a chance to explore a community garden, ask questions, take part in family-friendly garden activities and simply connect with neighbours. All ages are welcome.

The free Neighbourhood Garden Parties will take place at the following locations, weather permitting:

  • Saturday, June 6

  • 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • Doon Pioneer Park Community Garden, 150 Pioneer Drive

  • Saturday, August 8

  • 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Queens Green Community Garden, Queen Street South
