Heritage Bridge in Victoria Park temporarily closing for repairs
The City of Kitchener is temporarily closing the Heritage Bridge near Jubilee Drive in Victoria Park. The bridge was closed to vehicular traffic in January and now requires structural repairs to address significant wood rot and the deterioration of bridge stringers.
Repairs are expected to happen over the spring and summer. Out of an abundance of caution, the bridge will be closed to pedestrian traffic while further inspections take place and until repairs are complete.
Roos Island remains accessible via the Roland Street Bridge.
