Come celebrate Oktoberfest at Grillefest!

It’s almost time for Oktoberfest, and there’s no better way to celebrate than by joining us for Grillefest! After a few years away, we’re back in front of Kitchener City Hall on Friday, Oct. 7, between 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. It’s steps away from Carl Zehr Square, where the official Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest keg tapping will happen at 12 noon. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a great meal for a good cause while being in the centre of the action!

Kitchener City Council and City staff will be serving traditional sausage on a bun, cooked by Piller’s Fine Foods and our own Chef D. A cold drink and cookie will come with your sausage for a minimum donation of $5, with all proceeds going to support the Food Bank of Waterloo Region. We’ll also be collecting donations of dry and canned food. Piller's sausages are gluten-free. There will also be a limited supply of vegetarian sausages available.

Come down for Grillefest and while you’re there, enjoy everything there is to do at Willkommen Platz, the downtown festival which transforms downtown Kitchener into a bustling Bavarian village. Stop by a biergarten, try authentic German cuisine (if you’re not already full!), shop our local vendor market and enjoy live music!

We’d like to thank our sponsors for Grillefest 2022:

  • Food Bank of Waterloo Region
  • Piller’s Fine Foods
  • Grainharvest Breadhouse Inc.
  • Zehrs Stanley Park

We hope to see you there for a day full of fun, food and Gemütlichkeit!
