City’s new festival goes Wayback with Canadian classic rock
Get ready to take a trip back in time as the City of Kitchener’s first Wayback Festival brings huge hits from the '70s and '80s to Carl Zehr Square. On Saturday, July 23, experience retro fun with performances from three legendary Canadian acts, Trooper, Lee Aaron, and Helix. The show starts at 6 p.m. and will run until 10:30 p.m., rain or shine. While you’re downtown, visit a local patio, restaurant, or pub to enjoy a meal and support local.
Attendees are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles to stay hydrated. The public washrooms adjacent to Carl Zehr Square will be open and a cold-water refill station can be found through the same doors. Additional washrooms and cold-water refill stations can also be found inside City Hall during the event.
