City of Kitchener unveils Kitchener LIVE, a new digital hub for arts and entertainment

The City of Kitchener has introduced Kitchener LIVE (KitchenerLIVE.ca), a new one-stop digital destination for arts and entertainment across the city.

Through Kitchener LIVE, users can explore events and purchase tickets across multiple City-owned venues and event spaces including Centre In The Square, The Registry Theatre, Conrad Centre for the Performing Arts, and The Aud.  The platform is designed to be a trusted source for residents, visitors and artists looking to tap-in to the City’s creative heartbeat.

“Kitchener LIVE reflects the strength and vibrancy of our local arts and entertainment scene,” said Mayor Berry Vrbanovic. “Music, performance, and shared live entertainment experiences bring people together, strengthen community connections, and support local talent. This platform makes it easier than ever for residents and visitors to discover, plan, and experience everything happening across Kitchener’s venues and event spaces in one place."

Kitchener LIVE launches with the announcement of the City’s Special Events season line-up, including three fan-favourite summer concerts and one new signature event, featuring performances from up-and-coming artists to acclaimed Canadian music icons.

  • Canada Day brings Glass Tiger to Downtown Kitchener on July 1 (Carl Zehr Square), supported by These Eyes: The Music of the Guess Who and local blues icon Steve Strongman.
  • Home-grown talent gets the spotlight with the City of Kitchener’s newest live music event, Kitchener Takes the Stage, July 16, with performances from I, The Mountain; Living Room for Small; and Matt Weidinger and Friends (Conrad Centre).
  • Head back to the good old days at Wayback Festival, July 24-25, featuring Loverboy and Trooper (Carl Zehr Square), supported by Born in the 80’s.
  • Mother Mother, with support from Boy Golden and Valley, takes over Victoria Park on September 5 for Endless Summer

Kitchener LIVE will continue to grow as a central hub for discovering events and celebrating the city’s creative energy year-round, supporting greater visibility, awareness, and participation across Kitchener’s arts and entertainment scene.

The official launch of Kitchener LIVE will take place on July 16 at the Conrad Centre for the Performing Arts as part of Kitchener Takes the Stage
