City of Kitchener, Kitchener Professional Firefighters Association reach agreement for new contract
The City of Kitchener and the Kitchener Professional Firefighters Association (KPFFA) have reached a freely negotiated four-year deal; the fourth such freely negotiated contract in a row.
Council approved the deal this afternoon, after it was ratified by union members on December 20 and 21, 2023. KPFFA represents approximately 240 members.
The four-year collective agreement runs January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2026, and takes effect immediately.
Wage adjustments are as follows:
January 1, 2023 = 2.95%
January 1, 2024 = 2.95%
January 1, 2025 = 2.85%
January 1, 2026 = 2.75%
The previous contract expired December 31, 2022.
