City facilities have modified hours over the holidays - 2024

City-run facilities will have modified hours during the holiday season.

City Hall

Kitchener City Hall offices will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25; Thursday, Dec. 26; and Wednesday, Jan. 1, and open from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Tuesday, Dec. 31 otherwise, customer service at City Hall will be available on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The skating rink at Kitchener City Hall is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., weather dependent.

The skating rink will have different hours on these days:

  • Dec. 25: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Dec. 26: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Dec. 31: 9 a.m. to 12 a.m.
  • Jan. 1: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Changerooms are available in Carl Zehr Square from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Community centres

Community centre hours are:

  • Dec. 24: Open until 12 p.m.
  • Dec. 25: Closed
  • Dec. 26: Closed
  • Dec. 31: - Open until 12 p.m.
  • Jan. 1: Closed

Pools

All city-run pools will be closed on Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. 1.
Visit kitchener.ca/pools to check your pool’s regular hours.

Breithaupt Centre Pool

Breithaupt Centre’s pool hours are:

  • Dec. 24: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Dec. 25: Closed
  • Dec. 26: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Dec. 27: 8 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Jan. 1: Closed

Kitchener Market

The Kitchener Market will have the following hours:

  • Dec. 25: Closed
  • Dec. 26: Food Hall will be open with some food hall vendors from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Jan. 1: Closed

The Kitchener Market will remain open on Saturday, Dec. 28 and Saturday, Jan. 4.

The Aud

  • Dec. 24: Activa open for rentals until 11 a.m.
  • Dec. 25: Closed
  • Dec. 26: Closed.
  • Dec. 31: Kinsmen & Kiwanis open for rentals until 11 a.m.
  • Jan. 1: All rinks closed.
