City and IBEW 636 unable to reach agreement

The City and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 636 were unable to reach an agreement after union members did not ratify a tentative agreement yesterday.

The City is committed to reaching a fair settlement for workers and remains available to negotiate a resolution through continued discussions at the bargaining table. A conciliation officer is assisting the parties and the City remains hopeful that an agreement can be reached.

IBEW 636 represents 66 full time gas and water utility workers. The previous IBEW 636 contract expired March 31, 2021.
