Celebrate Kitchener's Urban Forest at the First Forestry Fall Fair
Residents of all ages are invited to explore the city's urban forest at Kitchener's first Forestry Fall Fair on Saturday, September 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Huron Natural Area.
The event will feature crafts and family-friendly activities, face painting, self-guided nature walks and opportunities to discover the important role trees and natural areas play in creating a healthy, sustainable community.
City of Kitchener staff from Forestry and Natural Areas, Stormwater and Sanitary Utilities, and the Neighbourhood Development Office will be joined by representatives of local community organizations including REEP Green Solutions, the Region of Waterloo, Grand River Conservation Authority, Kitchener Nature Stewards and Bird-friendly Kitchener to provide more in-depth information to visitors.
