Why The City of Kitchener is selling naming rights

Naming Rights agreements can provide the City with alternative funding sources to benefit the quality of life for those who live here.

The sale of naming rights for the Kitchener Indoor Recreation Complex is intended to:

1. Encourage investment in Civic assets for the benefit of The City of Kitchener citizens.
2. Provide a consistent funding stream for the Complex assets; and
3. Ensure fairness, transparency and accountability of the naming process.

Current opportunities

Cowan Recreation Centre

The Cowan Recreation Centre is a brand new multi-purpose indoor recreation facility at RBJ Schlegel Park.

Naming Rights opportunities exist for the following components of the facility:

• Overall Complex Naming
• Aquatic Centre
• Field House (Indoor Turfs)
• Quad Gymnasium
• Walking Track
• Multi-Purpose Rooms
• Cricket Batting Cage
