Stanley Park Community Centre, located at 505 Franklin St. N., has been serving the surrounding community since 2005. Featuring a triple gymnasium and three program rooms, the centre is equipped to offer a wide range of programs and activities.

Partner Programs

Board Game Cafe - Thursdays 1 -3 p.m. Come join us for a variety of board and card games. In partnership with Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region.

Get Ready For School Program - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 9:15-11:15 a.m. A learning program for children ages 3 and 4 (born in 2014).  In partnership with Strong Start.

FunfitTuesdays 4 - 5 p.m.  An action-filled activity for parent and children 4-6 years old, involving drumming.  Provided by Carizon's Waterloo Region CAPC (Children and Parents Connecting).

Infant Series Programs Tuesdays 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. The infant series is for parents and babies up to 12 months old and includes: Infant Massage (parents learn how to massage their babies), Baby Connections (focus on building early literacy skills through songs, rhymes and books) and Baby and Me (come together to learn songs, rhymes and finger play).  Provided by Our Place Family Resource and Early Years Centre.

Get Set Learn Program - Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30-11:30 a.m. (Fall and Spring session only) For parents with young children (babies to preschoolers).  This fun, free program includes learning together with you child as well as parent-only time.  In partnership with Project Read Literacy Network.

Stork Secrets - Pregnancy and Postpartum Adjustment Support - Tuesdays 9:30-11 a.m. Are you pregnant or a mother of a child under 2? Are you feeling nervous, anxious, or overwhelmed? Have you been diagnosed with postpartum mood disorder? Are you looking for support?  Connect with others who are experiencing similar feelings.  Ask questions, discuss coping strategies, develop friendships, learn about other services in the community and strengthen connections with your baby.  Provided by Our Place Family Resource and Early Years Centre.

Snow Angel

Has someone helped you shovel snow this winter?

Winter Sidewalk Maintenance

Kitchener is expanding its winter sidewalk maintenance program. New for the 2018/2019 winter season, bylaw officers will be proactively inspecting sidewalks citywide. If a sidewalk is not cleared of snow and ice, a bylaw officer will issue a one-time notice to the resident, and return within 24 hours.

If the sidewalk has still not been adequately cleared, the city will clear it and the property owner will be invoiced approximately $400.

    All we need is Snow, Cold Weather, and YOU!

    Outdoor Winter Rink Volunteers keep our neighbourhoods active and connected in the Winter!

    Volunteers prepare and build the ice surface and then maintain it throughout the season…light flooding and shovelling on a daily basis. (late December through mid March).

    Adult volunteers needed – adult and teen teams are welcomed for

    high school community service hours.

Last day to register online for Winter programs is Jan. 6, 2018

Last day to register in person for Winter programs is Feb. 2, 2018

In addition to its inviting lobby, three meeting rooms and triple gymnasium, the centre features a full kitchen and bar serving area with sinks and counters in each room.
