If an extreme cold warning is issued for Waterloo Region, the following City of Kitchener facilities will be open for the public to access as warming centres:

Kitchener City Hall
  •  Monday to Friday - 7 a.m.-9 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sunday and holidays - 9 a.m.-9 p.m. 
Community centres
The city's community centres can be used as warming centres during their regular hours.
Kitchener Public Library
Kitchener Public Library locations are also available as warming stations. For a list of locations visit the Kitchener Public Library's website.

Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.- 9 p.m.
Friday and Saturday 9 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.
The central branch (85 Queen St.) is open on Sundays from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
