Mother Mother
One of Canada’s most recognizable indie rock bands, Mother Mother takes the stage as this year’s headliner. Formed in British Columbia, the group has earned international acclaim for their bold sound, haunting harmonies and deeply expressive songwriting. With chart-topping hits and a devoted global fanbase, Mother Mother continues to push boundaries while staying rooted in their Canadian identity. Their dynamic live performances are nothing short of electric—making their Endless Summer appearance a must-see moment for fans across Kitchener-Waterloo and beyond.
Valley
With their infectious pop sound and energetic performances, Valley rounds out the lineup with a distinctly Ontario connection. DJ Joanna Magik
DJ Joanna Magik is a Canadian DJ and producer known for her energetic mix of house, UK garage, bassline, and rave-inspired electronic music. Recognized as an emerging force in Canada's dance music scene, she has built a reputation through acclaimed releases, industry recognition, and her role as resident DJ for the NHL's Calgary Flames. At Wayback Festival, she will bring high-octane beats and festival-ready energy that will keep Kitchener dancing.
SHEBAD
SHEBAD is a Canadian indie soul, jazz, fusion and funk band based locally in Guelph, led by vocalist Claire Voy and multi-instrumentalist Ciccio Spagnolo. The group has gained national recognition for its genre-blending sound, with its debut album Music is the Answer earning attention from Canadian music tastemakers and year-end lists. They will bring vibrant grooves, rich harmonies, and a fresh Southwestern Ontario perspective to the Wayback lineup.
Meteor Heist
Meteor Heist is a Toronto-based indie rock band that has become a rising presence in the Canadian music scene, earning recognition as one of Canada's notable emerging artists. Their sound has been described as reminiscent of the glory days of 1990s Canadian alternative rock, helping them build a strong following across Ontario. Meteor Heist will bring soaring indie-rock energy and a distinctly Canadian alt-rock spirit to the Kitchener stage.
