Fire Services
The Kitchener Fire Department provides protection from fire, life-threatening emergencies and dangerous conditions, through education, prevention, rescue, suppression and basic life support services.
Fire and Safety education programs are presented to the community through the 'Learn Not to Burn' program in the schools, the Children's Safety Village, the education van and fire safety house. This pro-active approach to public safety is supported by a city-wide prevention and inspection program.
In response to life threatening emergencies and dangerous conditions, the Kitchener Fire Department provides a full range of fire suppression, life support, hazardous materials response, and technical rescue services.
