Young Carers project

Suburbs

Young carers are children and youth who are in a caregiving role for a parent, grandparent, sibling or relative with a chronic or life threatening illness.  The Young Carer Peer Program gives opportunity to connect with other young carers that share similar experiences.

The Young Carers Peer Program offers a variety of FREE programs, workshops and special outings for Young Carers by connecting them with peers, building resilience and self esteem, and giving them time to have fun! Programs include sports, group activities, expressive arts, drama, movies, games, field-trips, cooking, medical education and more!
