Purchase information

Pricing for registered programs

Details about registered programs vary depending on the location. Please visit one of the pool listings below to find program information and pricing, or find more through ACTIVE Net, our online program registration tool.

Non-resident rate and Kitchener Card

The Kitchener Card is a one-year membership that allows non-Kitchener residents to register for swim programs and lifeguarding courses at the same price as Kitchener residents.

A portion of swim lessons are subsidized with property tax revenue collected from the City of Kitchener residents. Residents of other municipalities do not pay taxes to the City of Kitchener, therefore, there is a 25 per cent surcharge applied to the fee for non-Kitchener residents.

A non-resident that owns property or a business in Kitchener, and pays taxes to the City of Kitchener is exempt from the 25 per cent surcharge. Proof is required.

All non-Kitchener residents are eligible to purchase a Kitchener Card for each family member that will be registering for a City of Kitchener Swim Program.

The cost depends on the age of person taking the lesson.

Kitchener Card rates

Child (0-14 years)  $30.25

Adult (15+ years)   $70.20

If you register for at least two courses with a child Kitchener Card, or at least four courses with an Adult Kitchener Card, buying a Kitchener Card will save you money!

Refunds, withdrawals and late registration for programs

Refunds and Withdrawals

  • A 100% refund will be given if you withdraw from a program more than seven (7) days before the first day of the program
  • Refunds will only be given in the same form as payment made.

  • Please note: If credit is left on an account, the credit will expire after three years.
