Kitchener Public Library is the place where community connects. With five library locations throughout the city, there are lots of places for you to explore, learn and share.

Library cards are free to everyone who lives or owns property in the City of Kitchener. A free reciprocal library card is also available to all residents and property owners living anywhere within the Region of Waterloo.

Kitchener Public Library has more than 560,000 items in its collections including books, DVDs CDs, magazines, newspapers and more. The library also carries books, CDs, DVDs and magazines in a variety of different languages.

The library offers free wireless access at all their locations along with public computer work stations - most of which have free Internet access. The library's virtual service gives the public access to information - including databases, encyclopedias, newspaper and magazines, digital audio books, e-books, downloadable music and downloadable videos - 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
