Forest Heights boasts two fully accessible indoor pools - a 25-metre lap pool and smaller warm pool - with male, female and family change rooms.

Programming includes swim lessons for all ages and skill levels, a variety of aquafit classes, public, family and lane swims.

Our swimming lessons are getting a refresh to help improve your swimmer's stroke technique and fitness. These updates have been designed to ensure greater focus on endurance and stroke development for swimmers from level I to Pre-Bronze and will begin in January 2020. To give your swimmer the greatest chance at success, all swimmers should re-enrol in their current level as the revised levels will have new content that will pose more of a challenge.

AQX AquaBility: leisure pool 

AQX will help you maintain mobility and independence in a safe and social atmosphere. Work at your own pace with certified instructors who have in depth knowledge and training regarding pain management and movements of daily living. Key components include: active stretching to improve range of motion, relaxation and breathing techniques for pain management, and walking and gait training.

Swim admission guidelines

  • 0-6 years: Must be within 1 arm's reach of someone 12 years or older at all times, including if swim test has been passed (2:1 ratio)
  • 7-9 years: May swim alone if they pass the swim test, if not they must be within 1 arm's reach of someone 12 years or older at all times (3:1 ratio)
  • 10+ years: May swim alone
  • 12+ years: May supervise other swimmers (see ratios above)
  • Deep end swimmers: All swimmers must pass the swim test to enter the deep end. Swimmers of any age may be asked to complete the swim test at the discretion of the lifeguards.

To pass the swim test, swimmers must be able to comfortably perform a recognizable stroke on their front for a minimum of 15 meters with the ability to put their face in the water and take at least one (1) breath without putting their feet on the bottom of the pool.

Children ages 7-9 who successfully complete the test, or have completed Level H, will receive a Swim Test Card. Swim test cards must be presented prior to admission to a recreational swim.

Forgot your Swim Test Card? You will be required to complete another swim test.

A 25-metre pool, warm water leisure pool, male and female saunas, family change room and diving board. For more information on renting the pool, please call 519-741-2493.

Pool party package

25-metre pool public swim party package

Cost: $134.50 with maximum 20 participants

Available Monday - Thursday 2 - 4 p.m. public swim and room 4 - 5:30 p.m.

Saturday 2 - 4 p.m. public swim and room 12:30 - 2 p.m. or 4 - 5:30 p.m.

Includes invitations, noodles, lifejackets and floatation belts.

Insurance is available for purchase at $2.16 an hour.

Room capacity is 20 participants maximum
