About the grant program
Our Youth Employment Support Grant will help reduce barriers to summer jobs for youth with low income by offering up to $300 to get what they need to apply or to be eligible to apply for summer jobs with the City of Kitchener.

- vulnerable persons criminal reference check
- standard first aid certification
- High Five Certification
- Bronze Cross, National Lifeguard and Swim Instructors
- transit passes and tickets
- uniform costs
If you have a cost that’s not on this list, please send us an email, as we will be happy to consider other needs.
If you have already applied or are thinking of applying for a summer job with us, this grant may be for you. Summer positions may include:
- summer camp leaders and coordinators
