About the program

The goals of our Community Environmental Improvement Grant (CEIG) program include:

  • increasing awareness among residents of how they view and treat our local resources, and encouraging them to help improve the quality of those resources
  • encouraging environmental stewardship
  • promoting and initiating community-based environmental projects
  • supporting environmental research


Applications for 2020 are now closed. Successful applicants will be contacted via email.

The projects include:

  • neighbourhood climate change adaptation/mitigation workshops
  • room rentals
  • terra-cycle boxes
  • resiliency and regeneration climate conversations for faith communities event
