We're committed to keeping you connected and active with free activities, events and resources.

 Fitness and wellness
Join us for a series of free fitness and wellness free activities, events and resources, online. Check out our webpage for the listing of courses.

Kitchener is coming back to life with a wide range of concerts, events and festivals from well-loved favourites to exciting new offerings across the city.

 Find something to do at one of our indoor or outdoor facilities in Kitchener.

Community centres

Visit www.kitchener.ca/communitycentres or www.kitchener.ca/activenet or visit your local neighbourhood association’s website to learn what programs are offered across all our community centres. Registration for the fall term opened mid-August.

Book a gym or community room at your local community centre to use for physical activity or to host a hobby group or neighbourhood meeting… for free! Book a space for your next activity now: www.kitchener.ca/bookfreespace

Pools

Learning how to swim can prepare you for a lifetime of fun, fitness and, water safety. Register for swimming lessons at one of our pools. We offer programs for all ages, including: 

  • Group swimming lessons 
  • Leadership and lifeguard programs 
  • Single visit programs such as aqua-fitness, adult, lane, BeU swims, Women-only, public and family swims

Registration for the fall term opened on Aug. 30.

Trails and parks
Kitchener has over 125 kilometers of trails and many parks, natural areas and outdoor spaces. Find a trail or a park near you.

Walking tours

Kitchener is a vibrant community filled with history and charm. What better way to discover it, than by foot! Here are some self-guided walking tours you can do on your own or with your own household this winter.

Downtown Kitchener Art Walk

Kitchener Market
