The sun is shining, and the temperatures are rising, it’s a great time to visit a splashpad near you. With warmer summer-like temperatures upon us, the City of Kitchener is opening splashpads early.

Looking for ways to keep cool this spring and summer? Visit a city splashpad. Seven city-operated splashpads open today, Friday, May 13, with an additional location at RBJ Schlegel Park scheduled to open on Friday, May 20. Each location is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Residents are reminded that all users of the splashpads must wear swim clothing, be respectful of other guests and take turns, and always supervise children under age 9.

The city expects to open outdoor pools beginning in mid-June and expects to announce opening dates soon.
