The journey toward a more sustainable future relies on the collaboration of us all. Since September 2022, the City of Kitchener’s SDG Idea Factory has been hosting a monthly SDG Talks speaker series exploring how local businesses and individuals are taking steps toward sustainability, in alignment with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. On June 11, we will wrap up the series with a celebration of Business as a Force for Good!

On June 11, from 3 to 8 p.m., we invite you to join us at the SDG Idea Factory, 2 King Street West to connect with other community members and learn about the partnerships and connections established throughout our SDG Talks series. Beginning at 3 p.m., come to Goudies Lane to browse our outdoor vendor market focused on sustainable consumption, featuring local vendors and community organization exhibitors. At Vogelsang Green, enjoy live music by Onion Honey as you lounge on the green. Inside the SDG Idea Factory, inspiring speeches will highlight the importance of partnerships in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as some of the great work local organizations are doing to help achieve them. We will also be offering tours of the SDG Idea Factory to showcase the support available to anyone looking to make a difference in our community.

The event is free to attend, and all are welcome. Due to limited space, registration is required for the speeches inside the SDG Idea Factory. Registration is also recommended for the tours. You can register and learn more at SDG Talk & Shop: Eventbrite.
