Join us for a free concert in Victoria Park plus Kitchener's largest-ever porch party event

Kitchener, Ontario – This weekend, thousands of residents will gather on porches, front lawns and streets across Kitchener to celebrate the city's vibrant and diverse neighbourhoods. In celebration of Neighbours Day, communities will be transformed with up to 100 porch parties, street performances and other free events and activities.

The weekend’s celebrations kick off on Friday, June 17, with Neighbours Night, a free concert in Victoria Park, headlined by Juno nominated national recording artists Virginia to Vegas and Delaney Jane, along with special guests, Rêve and Amanda Kind. The event starts at 6 p.m. and features live music, food and ice-cream trucks, gourmet popsicles and the opportunity for neighbours from across our community to come together to reconnect and enjoy a night out on the eve of Neighbours Day. Your Neighbourhood Credit Union (YNCU), the sponsor of Neighbours Day, will also have lemonade stands on site. The stands will be operated by kids in the community who will be accepting donations in support of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).

On Saturday, June 18, Neighbours Day, thousands of Kitchener residents will move the party to porches and front lawns across Kitchener neighbourhoods as residents host performances by local artists, along with street parties, Celine Dion impersonator floating stage concert, BBQs and a variety of other free community-run events. 

There will be over 100 parties taking place across Kitchener on Neighbours Day, showcasing the work of local artists and groups. There's something for everyone on Neighbors Day, with activities ranging from a family-friendly block party in Eastwood to an outdoor jam session at the Centreville Chicopee Community Centre.
