This Neighbours Day, Kitchener residents from across the city are invited to join us for a neighbourhood porch party! On Sept. 18, over 20 local musicians will lend their unique talents by staging small, intimate pop-up concerts in neighbourhoods all over Kitchener. From porches to driveways, front lawns to boulevards, residents can join in the fun by bringing a mask and a lawn chair to enjoy some live, local entertainment in celebration of Neighbours Day 2021.

Due to provincial gathering limits and to encourage residents to go outside and explore their neighbourhoods, pop-up concert locations and times will not be shared in advance. Instead, residents are encouraged to grab their bike, or their favourite walking partner and keep an eye out for a Neighbours Day pop-up concert happening in their neighbourhood. Concert start times vary by neighbourhood and will take place throughout the day from 1-4 p.m. Each concert will be approximately 45 minutes long.

Local musicians participating in this year’s event include:

  • Amanda Kind & James Downham with Matt Koebel
  • Avalon & Braydon
