A sure sign of spring: Kitchener Market vendors have moved outside!
With current COVID-19 restrictions, the move outside serves an additional purpose this year by increasing shopping space and allowing for more people to safely be served. The outdoor shopping area will be setup for produce vendors in the covered parking area and on Eby Street, which will be closed to vehicle traffic from King Street to Market Lane.
As an essential business, the Kitchener Market remains open during the provincial shutdown as a place to purchase fresh, packaged, and prepared food. Shoppers are able to physically distance thanks to improved one-way traffic flow and dividers. Face coverings are also required per the Region of Waterloo’s mask by-law.
For those who prefer not to visit each vendor individually, an online store is now available at www.KitchenerMarket.ca/ShopOnline. Orders can be placed during the week, until Thursdays at noon, for pickup at the Market on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The Kitchener Market’s farmers’ market and Food Hall (takeout orders only) are open on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
