Members of Kitchener Council are getting their aprons and grill skills ready to serve lunch for a good cause. After missing last year due to the pandemic, Grillefest is returning to celebrate the opening weekend of Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest and support the Food Bank of Waterloo Region. On Saturday, Sept. 25, residents are invited to attend any of the five locations across the City and enjoy sausage on a bun, cookies, and drinks served by Mayor Vrbanovic, members of Council, and City staff.

Cash and food donations are appreciated. A donation of $5 per meal is suggested. All proceeds go to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
