Gather the whole family and get ready for a day of fun at KidsPark. This beloved local celebration is coming to The Aud on Sunday, Aug. 18, and this year, it’s bigger and better than ever! Previously planned to be held in Victoria Park, the festival moved to The Aud due to poor weather.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Aud will be transformed into a whole new world for kids to explore, with themed activity areas filling the space. Each area will be filled with activities for all ages, from inflatable obstacle courses and a rock wall to face painting, live animals and more. You may even see something prehistoric at Dino Island or meet your favourite characters roaming around the building. As always, entrance to the event and all the activities are free!

Throughout the day, live entertainers will take the stage in KPL (Kitchener Public Library) Corner and at Dino Island. Enjoy family-friendly music with Erick Traplin, interactive song and dance with Livi and Friends, Indigenous storytelling and dancing with Kristi White, and learn about the natural world around us with Wild Ontario and Hands On Exotics.

With so much to see and do, you can spend a full day at KidsPark, so local food trucks will be serving up food and sweet treats for a lunchtime picnic. Local businesses will also fill Vendors Alley so you can take home a souvenir at the end of the day.

KidsPark will be supporting the Food Bank of Waterloo Region, so if you’re able, please bring a non-perishable food item or a cash donation to help support those in need.

With a day full of activities for the whole family to enjoy, this is a celebration you won’t want to miss! Space is limited, so be sure to come to KidsPark early to get the most out of your day. Explore everything you can see and do this year at kitchener.ca/KidsPark
