Let’s go, Kitchener - it’s time to Make Tracks!

The City of Kitchener is inviting residents to run, walk, roll, or ride to explore their neighbourhood. 5 km ‘Make Tracks’ routes have been set up around each community centre in Kitchener, with a bonus route near the future site of the Huron-Brigadoon community centre. With 15 locations in total, there is a close-to-home route for everyone across the city.

Go online to view a fun, fact-filled map designed to help residents learn more about where they live.

Residents can add a little competition to the fun by challenging friends and family to find their favourite route and see how many kilometres they can complete. Journeys and challenges can be shared on social media using #MakeTracksKitchener for a chance to win a healthy foods prize pack from the Kitchener Market.

Residents are reminded to follow all current COVID-19 guidelines, including physical distancing while participating. If your chosen route is too busy when you arrive, please return at another time, or find an alternate location. Visit Kitchener.ca/MakeTracks for more info.

A friendly tip from Kitchener Utilities to stay hydrated during your challenge: remember to fill your reusable water bottle before you Make Tracks. Did you know you can fill a 500 ml water bottle over 350 times with Kitchener tap water for only $1?
