With the weather warming up, it’s time to start planning ways to keep cool this summer! Offering everything from family swims and lessons to a day of recreation at the pool, Kitchener’s outdoor pools will be ready for you. The City of Kitchener will begin to open its outdoor pools starting today through June 22, as follows:
- Harry Class Pool - 45 Woodside Ave. (located inside Woodside Park)
Opening Monday, June 3, Harry Class Pool offers swimming lessons and public, family, and lane swims.
- Wilson Pool - 78 Wilson Ave.
Opening Saturday, June 15, Wilson Pool is a shallow pool for families and guests of all ages to enjoy all summer long.
- Idlewood Pool - 5 Thaler Ave.
Opening Saturday, June 15, Idlewood Pool offers lessons, aquafit programming, and both public and family swim times. There is a shallow area and a small slide for younger visitors.
- Kiwanis Park and Pool - 1000 Kiwanis Park Dr.
Opening Saturday, June 22, Kiwanis Park has a lake-like outdoor pool where families and friends can gather for a swim or a full day-long getaway. The park also features a leash-free dog park, canoe launch, volleyball courts, and play equipment.

Build your confidence at the pool this summer with swimming lessons at indoor and outdoor pools, whether it’s once a week or daily lessons.
