This event will also bring awareness to the City of Kitchener’s new customer service campaign; Kitchener wants to serve you right!The City of Kitchener is doing a customer service check-in with citizens this spring and summer. “At the City of Kitchener, service is our reason for being, and at the forefront of everything we do,” says Jana Miller, Executive Director for the Office of the CAO at the City of Kitchener. “We’re launching a customer service check-in to find out what we are doing well and where we can improve so we can continue to deliver a great service experience to citizens. From March through September, look out for city staff at summer events, community centres and pools asking you about your service experiences. Tell us how we’re doing so we can serve Kitchener right.”
The night will also recognize the City of Kitchener’s more than 6,000 volunteers who help to serve Kitchener right by donating their time, experience and energy at many programs, services, advisory committees and events. Special recognition will be going to the Kitchener Waterloo Youth Basketball Association who will accept the Long Service Award for helping youth develop team work, leadership and basketball skills, all while instilling a sense of fun! The City of Kitchener hopes staff, customers, families, and friends will come out to support this recipient for their great service.
