KITCHENER – The City of Kitchener and City of London are partnering to bring talented local musicians from both cities together for free live performances in Kitchener and London for CMA Ontario Music Cities Exchange.
There will be two exciting nights of live country music featured at Cowboys Ranch on Friday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m. in London and Dallas Night Club on Saturday, May 5 at 7 p.m. in Kitchener. Both nights are free and 19 plus events.
“Music Cities Exchange is a great opportunity for artists to open networks and develop a fan base in a new market,” says Cory Crossman, music industry development officer, City of London. “It also serves as a valuable connection between cities that are actively working to grow their music sector.”
Working off past successes, the London Music Office has partnered with the Country Music Association of Ontario leading up to Country Music Association of Ontario Festival and Awards taking place from May 31 - June 3 in London for a special Music Cities Exchange with the City of Kitchener and Music Works.
“Events like these give prominence to the amazing local talent found in South Western Ontario,” states Silvia Di Donato, manager, arts and creative industries, City of Kitchener. “This is just one example of the type of initiative the City’s new music, film and interactive media office will be working on to help support entrepreneurs in these industries.”
