Public works professionals are everywhere, working day, night and in any weather for you and your family.
Public works staff are people who deliver the infrastructure services our community cannot do without. They include a variety of things such as keeping our roads safe to drive on, providing safe and reliable drinking water and keeping our parks and trails beautiful and accessible.
Learn about Kitchener public works and enter for a chance to win a prize while you do it!
Every day from May 17 to May 21, visit the City of Kitchener’s Instagram story (@CityofKitchener) and answer the trivia questions about Kitchener public works services. At the end of each trivia, write your name in the Instagram sticker to enter the contest. Participate every day to receive more entries.
You can win one of two prize packs that include a rain barrel, a certificate for cooking classes, $100 worth of Kitchener Market Local Line food, swimming passes, ice time at a City of Kitchener arena and a round of golf at either Rockway or Doon Valley golf courses. For full contest details, visit www.kitchener.ca/Contests.
While enjoying the trivia, visit www.kitchener.ca/PublicWorks to learn about just some of the dedicated staff members who help to keep our city moving.
Just like doctors, nurses, pharmacists and personal support workers, Kitchener public works staff are essential workers on the frontlines who make sure we have access to valuable services. Learn how we make our city a great place to live, work and play every day.
