KITCHENER - Bring the entire family for an afternoon of fun at Kitchener Bikefest on Sunday, May 27 at City Hall from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. to celebrate cycling and its role in positively transforming our health, environment and community.

“Bikefest was created to help encourage more people to get on their bikes by showing them how fun, easy, safe it can be no matter their age, background, and ability,” said Danny Pimentel, the city’s active transportation project manager. “We’re happy to bring back some of last year’s favourite vendors and are excited to introduce new ones like Dropbike, a new bike share provider for the tri-cities.”

Fill out one of our Bikefest passports by visiting and learning about as many vendors as you can, for a chance to win one of two bikes donated by our gold sponsor Ziggy’s Cycle and Sport. The kid’s bike rodeo will be back this year by popular demand. Let us help you decorate your bike and then get creative at the free photo booth station. You can also cheer on your child as they challenge themselves through a bike obstacle course and make it to the finish line. Our volunteers will provide free bike safety checks for all children before participation.

There will also be two community bike rides throughout the event led by the Cycling and Trails Advisory Committee. Take a break from all of the fun and enjoy a bite to eat at one of our mouth-watering food trucks.

Ride your bike to the event and enjoy FREE valet bike parking provided by BikeKitchener’s Bike Check program. The event is for all ages and will take place rain or shine.
