New this year, the City of Kitchener presents A Splash of Summer, a fun and refreshing way to beat the summer heat. Join us every Thursday in July from 6 to 8 p.m. for live entertainment for the kids while everyone keeps cool in the new splash pad at Carl Zehr Square in front of City Hall (200 King St. West). In August, join us at Kiwanis Park every Thursday from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
Pack up the family and your bathing suits for a free evening of fun with popular children's entertainer Erick Traplin hosting the event and inviting some of his friends to help with the fun. Dance to the music in the fully accessible splash pad while enjoying the water spraying from 250 jets. Bring a picnic or get dinner-to-go from one of the many amazing restaurants in Downtown Kitchener. Face painting will also be available with a donation to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
Rain or shine, we will be having fun! In the case of inclement weather, A Splash of Summer will move indoors to the City Hall Rotunda.
A Splash of Summer is a new weekly series presented by the City of Kitchener. Stay cool every Thursday in the splash pad at Carl Zehr Square in July and at Kiwanis Park in August.
