Victoria Hills Community Centre is situated in a beautiful park setting, at the corner of Westmount Road and Chopin Drive. The centre features meeting rooms, gymnasiums, a servery and a kitchen, public-access computers and an outdoor skating rink in the winter.

Victoria Hills Neighbourhood Association

The Victoria Hills Neighbourhood Association runs programs at our centre every spring, fall and winter. Check out Active Kitchener for the full program list.

Cherry Park Neighbourhood Association

The Cherry Park Neighbourhood Association offers a variety of programs and special events at various locations. Programs are offered spring, fall and winter.

City of Kitchener programs

Children between the ages of 4 and 12 enjoy our neighbourhood day camps at the centre each summer. We also offer summer youth drop-in programs.

Adult programs for 18+ enjoy programs such as Arts and Piano lessons.

Community Partners' programs

Our centre partners with local organizations to provide free programs and information to our community, including:

  • WMB Church - Free conversational 'Learn English, Make Friends' program: Tuesdays, from 9:30 - 11 a.m., and Thursdays, from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Preschool (ages 3 - SK), and children's club (Gr. 1 - 6) is available for children during the Thursday program time for parents attending adult class. Spring session starts April 2 and 4.
  • Get Ready For School Program: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursdays 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. A learning program for children ages 3 and 4 (born in 2015). In partnership with Strong Start. Registration closed.
  • Infant Series Programs: Tuesdays 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. The infant series is for parents and babies up to 12 months old and includes: Infant Massage (parents learn how to massage their babies), Baby Connections (focus on building early literacy skills through songs, rhymes and books) and Baby and Me (come together to learn songs, rhymes and finger play). Early On Drop In Play (Children and families join in play and exploration). Provided by Our Place Family Resource and Early Years Centre. Spring Programs start Apr. 2.  Summer Program on Wednesdays, July 3-August 28, 9am-3pm.
  • Community Support Connections: Free Seniors Maintaining Active Roles Together (SMART) exercise program, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. No registration required.
  • Nature Play: Join us this spring in Gzowski Park for free nature play activities, March and April on Wednesdays, 3 - 5 p.m.  May and June on Wednesdays and Fridays, 3-5pm.
  • ImagineIt: Check out the bookshelf in our lobby - then borrow the books!
 Events
  • Victoria Hills Neighbourhood Association: Are you willing to give back to the community? Do you need volunteer hours or extra experience? Everyone is welcome, and encouraged to attend our monthly meetings. Our board meets on Tuesdays, the first Fall date being September 10 starting at 6:30 p.m. Fall dates to be announced.  No Summer meetings.
  • Neighbours Day: Saturday, June 8. Come on out and have fun at our Garage sale, Holi Festival, Neighbourhood Camp activities and Nature Play activities.
  • Cherry Festival: Saturday, July 6, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Live entertainment, vendors, games, foods, and train
  • Labour Day Corn Social: Monday, Sept. 2, 12 p.m.-3 p.m. There will be corn, BBQ and lots of games. Come to Cherry Commons Picnic Shelter, beside the Strange Street entrance to Cherry Park.

Victoria Hills Community Centre is available for rent for meetings and special events.
