Select community centres are set to reopen for limited use by the end of June to provide food distribution programs, cooling centre locations and summer camps. Read more.

Parks, trails, Kitchener Golf, Kitchener Market Saturday Farmers' Market and most outdoor facilities are open. Learn more about what's open and closed.

The majority of city-run facilities, playgrounds, splash pads and pools currently remain closed.


Victoria Hills Community Centre is situated in a beautiful park setting, at the corner of Westmount Road and Chopin Drive. The centre features meeting rooms, gymnasiums, a servery and a kitchen, public-access computers and an outdoor skating rink in the winter.


Victoria Hills Neighbourhood Association

The Victoria Hills Neighbourhood Association runs programs at our centre every spring, fall and winter. Check out Active Kitchener for the full program list.

Cherry Park Neighbourhood Association

The Cherry Park Neighbourhood Association offers a variety of programs and special events at various locations. Programs are offered spring, fall and winter.

City of Kitchener programs

Children between the ages of 4 and 12 enjoy our neighbourhood day camps at the centre each summer. We also offer summer youth drop-in programs.

Adult programs for 18+ enjoy programs such as Arts and Piano lessons.


Community Partners' programs

Our centre partners with local organizations to provide free programs and information to our community, including:

  • WMB Church - Free conversational 'Learn English, Make Friends' program: Tuesdays, from 9:30 - 11 a.m., and Thursdays, from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Preschool (ages 3 - SK), and children's club (Gr. 1 - 6) is available for children during the Thursday program time for parents attending adult class. Winter session starts Jan. 7 and Jan 9.
  • Get Ready For School Program: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursdays 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. A learning program for children ages 3 and 4 (born in 2016). In partnership with Strong Start. Registration closed.
  • Infant Series Programs: Tuesdays 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. The infant series is for parents and babies up to12 months old and includes: Infant Massage (parents learn how to massage their babies), Baby Connections (focus on building early literacy skills through songs, rhymes and books) and Baby and Me (come together to learn songs, rhymes and finger play). Early On Drop In Play (Children and families join in play and exploration). Provided by Our Place Family Resource and Early Years Centre. Winter Programs start Jan 7.  
  • Community Support Connections: Free Seniors Maintaining Active Roles Together (SMART) exercise program, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. No registration required.
  • ImagineIt: Check out the bookshelf in our lobby - then borrow the boo 
  • I AM is a free afterschool group that examines the importance of having a positive personal image through the use of fun and engaging self-esteem building activities.  It brings awareness and explores topics that can impact an individual’s self-esteem and how that can affect daily decisions and relationships in an age of strong media influences. Tuesdays from - 3:30-4:30 p.m. Youth Grade 6-9, starting April 7. Course code: 48229
  • Victoria Hills Neighbourhood Association: Are you willing to give back to the community? Do you need volunteer hours or extra experience? Everyone is welcome, and encouraged to attend our monthly meetings. Our board meets on the first Tuesday of the month 6:30 p.m. Winter dates will be Jan. 7, Feb. 4, and March 3, 2020. We hope to see you there! 
  • No summer meetings
  • Come join us for a Community Clean up Saturday, May 9, 10 a.m. to noon. Meet in Gzowski Park. Bags and gloves will be provided

NEW Book space online for community groups of 12 participants or less.
