Select community centres are set to reopen for limited use by the end of June to provide food distribution programs, cooling centre locations and summer camps. Read more.

Parks, trails, Kitchener Golf, Kitchener Market Saturday Farmers' Market and most outdoor facilities are open. Learn more about what's open and closed.

The majority of city-run facilities, playgrounds, splash pads and pools currently remain closed.

Rockway Community Centre, located at 1405 King St. E., has been offering programs and services to adults in our community since 1975.

Featuring an auditorium and nine program rooms, the centre is equipped to offer a wide range of activities to individuals and groups.

A Virtual Event to Celebrate the contributions seniors have made in our community!

Share this opportunity with friends that don’t have internet access.

The event will take place virtually. A basic telephone connection is required. All you need is a comfy place to sit back and relax with your telephone.

You will be called into the event via telephone between 12:45 – 1:00 PM on the day of the event. Stay by your telephone for the call so you don’t miss out!

Rockway Guitar Jam groups unite! 

1:30 p.m.

The regular guitar players of Rockway get together weekly online for group practice. If you haven’t played with the group in a while but still have the song book, why not come and join us? Email brenda.vandekeere@kitchener.ca for more information.

Happy Canada Day!

5 p.m.

Join us virtually on July 1 for a Canada Day broadcast on CTV Kitchener where #KitchenerSaysThanks to community heroes with a musical salute.

The program will feature musical performances from The Beaches, BAD CHILD & Rufus John and will also feature profiles of local heroes making a difference in our community through these unprecedented times.

Colourful Conversations Ongoing Group

This group enjoys meeting on ZOOM each week to chit chat as they each colour / doodle on their own work. If you would like to meet some new Rockway patrons and share some conversation, come meet this welcoming group.

Rentals

Located right off Highway 7/8, with plenty of free parking and a bus stop at the front door, our centre is convenient for all your rental needs.

The facility offers a large auditorium with capacity for 100 is perfect for special birthday and anniversary parties, as well as other special events; while our meeting rooms are perfect for conferences, business and group meetings, with space to accommodate from 14 to 80 people.

The centre is fully accessible - and conveniently located within close walking distance of public transit. Visit Grand River Transit for route information and schedules.

Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday - 9 a.m. to noon

Our centre is available for private rentals outside of regular centre hours.
